Right from beginning of 21st century almost 1300 years back, this particular region was called as ‘Dipak’ or ‘Dipakaagar’. This trade city of yesteryears was the place where the famous Satvahans, Moryas, Rashtrakul, Chalukya, and Shilahar dynasties ruled their kingdom. Available from the historical documents the first identity of this ancient city came in the 973AD, from the Shilahar’s king’s royal book. Also it reveled about Yadav’s dynasty in this royal book.
